The People Behind the Network

Latino Business Leaders Building Baltimore From the Inside Out.

Five Latino co-founders. One community. Building the space Baltimore was missing.

How We Got Here

This Wasn't a Business Plan. It Was a Conversation.

Colado Latino Network wasn't launched from a pitch deck. It grew out of relationships that were already there. Amy, Willis, Jesus, Thiara, and Nisael found each other through photography work, creative projects, and shared community in the Baltimore area. The org was built from the inside out.

Amy had spent years covering niche networking events as a photographer and creative director. The rooms were good. But she kept asking: where's the one for us? That question became Colado. She brought in the people who were already close, and it started.

Baltimore already had the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, cultural festivals, and business resource programs. What it was missing: a real gathering place for Latino business leaders and entrepreneurs. Somewhere to make actual friendships, share what's working, and turn those relationships into real opportunity. That space didn't exist in Maryland. So they built it.

The first event at Bodega & Vino sold out. A hundred percent of attendees said they'd come back. Two Spanish-dominant guests, a construction owner and a real estate agent, made the connections they needed that night. The team called it proof of concept. They called it the first chapter.

All five are still running their own businesses. Colado is not a pivot. It is what they do together because Baltimore's Latino community needed it and nobody else was doing it.

Amy Maya, Co-Founder & Creative Director at Colado Latino Network

01

Amy Maya

Co-Founder & Creative Director

Amy is the spark. A Brooklyn-raised creative director and realtor now based in Harford County, she spent years covering niche networking events and kept asking one question: why doesn't something like this exist for us? That question became Colado. She leads the visual identity and creative strategy for everything the org puts into the world.

Willis Aybar, Co-Founder, Digital Presence & Marketing at Colado Latino Network

02

Willis Aybar

Co-Founder, Digital Presence & Marketing

Willis runs Another Monday, a digital marketing agency built for minority-owned businesses. Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in Brooklyn, and Baltimore-based since 2018, he spent 15 years in photography, video, and tech before building the agency and eventually this. With Colado, he leads digital presence and makes sure the network gets found by the people who need it.

Jesus Rosario, Co-Founder & Director of Photography at Colado Latino Network

03

Jesus Rosario

Co-Founder & Director of Photography

Jesus makes everything look real. Born in the Bronx and based near Baltimore, he built his career in photography, filmmaking, and gaffing in the film industry. He's worked with the NFLPA, Another Monday, and Studio87. With Colado, he does what he's always done: gets behind the camera and captures the community the way it actually feels.

Thiara Rivera, Co-Founder & Producer at Colado Latino Network

04

Thiara Rivera

Co-Founder & Producer

Thiara Rivera is a Baltimore-based entrepreneur with Dominican roots. A licensed esthetician and business owner, she learned early that building from scratch is easier when you have the right people around you. She produces Colado events and keeps the team grounded. The events happen because Thiara makes them happen.

Nisael Perez-Rodriguez, Co-Founder & Superconnector at Colado Latino Network

05

Nisael Perez-Rodriguez

Co-Founder & Superconnector

Nisael is an engineer, a Marine Corps veteran, and the kind of person who ends up knowing everyone in any room. Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in the Bronx, and now based in the Baltimore area, he built his career around solving problems and finding smarter ways forward. With Colado, his job is simple: make sure nobody moves alone.
