Editorial Standards

We write about Baltimore organizations, businesses and the people running them. People read these pages before they pick up the phone, so getting the details right matters more than publishing fast.

Who writes this

Posts are written by Willis Aybar, one of the five co-founders who started Colado Latino Network in January 2026. Every post carries a byline with a name on it, not an organization.

Where the facts come from

We work from primary sources. When we write about an organization, we read that organization's own website. When we publish a number from an event, it's from the venue's own sales figures or the ticketing platform.

• Phone numbers, addresses and hours come from the organization's own published pages.
• Event attendance comes from the ticketing platform and the check-in record.
• Sales figures from a partner venue are published only with that venue's agreement.

What we will not publish

• A claim a business has not confirmed about itself. If we can't verify it, we leave it out rather than soften it into something that sounds checked.
• A guess dressed as a finding. Where an organization doesn't state something, we write that it isn't stated and leave the reader to ask. That's not us telling you the answer is no.
• Reviews, testimonials or activity we did not receive. We don't invent social proof, and we don't run "someone just booked" tickers.
• Paid placement presented as editorial. Nobody on our lists pays to be there.

Where AI fits

We use AI tools for research and for drafting, the same way we use a search engine and a word processor. Every post is published under the name of the person responsible for it. If something here is wrong, a human got it wrong, and a human will fix it.

Corrections

If we published something inaccurate, tell us and we'll correct it and say what changed. Email elcoladonetwork@gmail.com. If you run an organization we wrote about and want your entry updated, that goes to the same address, and we'll take your word for your own hours and services.
